De voorbereidingen zijn begonnen. Alvast een Spaanse avond bij Bert en Josee gehad. Zij zijn er vorig jaar geweest. Dus foto’s gekeken en tips ontvangen. En natuurlijk een avond vol pintxos. In Baskenland zijn de Pintxos (op zijn Spaans Pinchos) een begrip in de keuken. Een pintxo (uitspraak: pientcho) is een aperitief van een gesneden stukje stokbrood, belegd met diverse op elkaar gestapelde ingrediënten, die middels een stokje aan het brood worden “geprikt”. Ze worden vaak in barretjes en tavernes op de bar tentoongesteld. De naam “pintxo” komt van het werkwoord “pinchar” dat “prikken” betekent.
Onze reis zal via St. Hilaire (naar Claude en Marlène) gaan naar Baskenland, via Cantabrië, Asturië en Galicië naar Porto. Vanaf daar gaat de reis naar la Rioja. Het wijngebied van de streek.
Naar aanleiding van een stuk in de krant gaan we dus tanken bij Repsol ?
